The Cayman Heart Fund recently received a boost with a donation of funding from FirstCaribbean International.
Donating the cheque on behalf of FirstCaribbean International Bank, Ms Pat Ramoon, Director of Human Resources said she was delighted to make the contribution on behalf of the Bank: “We at FirstCaribbean International are always receptive to giving back to the community and our corporate and social responsibility demonstrated via such contributions is integral to who we are. We are particularly keen to sponsor the Cayman Heart Fund which does such tremendous work for the local community with regard to highlighting the importance of keeping a healthy heart.”
Accepting the donation on behalf of the Cayman Heart Fund, Ms Charmaine Moss, Secretary to the CHF said: “FirstCaribbean International has been a continued and well-established supporter of the Cayman Heart Fund, for which we are extremely grateful.”
Ms Moss explained that this donation will be used to assist with the funding of a variety of projects that the Cayman Heart Fund currently has on the go,
“Our 800 plus visitors to our annual Cayman Heart Fund Heart Health Fair benefit from free screenings of their blood glucose, blood pressure and BMI, vitally important numbers for keeping healthy a heart, but not cheap to administer. We also take our screening sessions to all the districts including Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Donations such as this go a tremendously long way in funding these important screenings.”
